i agree with bras to stop stone chips, and i do totally understand bout gritter spraying cars. However surely when it rains the grit and general grime thats elsewhere on the bonnet just gets washed under the bra? wouldnt this just rub more scratches into the paint work?

^^^Yep.

if there on for too long they can do more damage than not using them. best is quick detail the bonnet before fitting and only put them on for long fast journeys.
