I`ve had loads of quality bargainage from scrappies (my mates are sick of hearing about my "latest find") but my biggest triumph has to be two Votex centre consoles (mk2 golf) in a week for £10. The leather Ben Sherman belt that I got free was a good find too!

I got a brand new 185/55 15 pirelli p6000 bought and fitted for £10 from my local scrappy, it was on a spare wheel of a car that was scrapped. I'm going to get all my tyres from there from now on lol.

Also found a pair of clear front indies, off different polos and got them for £6 in good condition.

the scrappys around me are crap. the one up the road wanted 30 notes for a mk2 coupe steering wheel. but i had a bargin off them, got a drivers side gti mk3 golf seat for a tenner

The best are blatently the pocket fodder, lost count of the amount of delocked handles,gear knobs,fuses,random bolts nuts and tools i've got on a five finger discount. Lupo gearknob was the latest freebie which is ace as someone on here wanted twenty notes.

I'm glad I don't live near cannock! Mind you i've seen a manc lad paint his wheels still fitted including brake discs and the rear bearins as the caps had come off

once found a pea green beetle old one with a 1303 center consel and a kamei spolier on the front wich are realy hard to find in good condtion and it had some old skoda wheels on it wich were rare as anything price i payed .. he was after a gearbox for a 1200 bug dont no why lol but i had like 4 of them :-D best find for me

Nah, Mk2 bready, stil testted, but missing it's cambelt and the top pulley was in the boot. Whacked a belt on, timed it up, drove it for about 2 years. Granted, the exhaust valves had taken a bit of a whack, so after the first 18 months it popped the odd flame, but did I care?

Not many scrap yards near me but my brother works at Audi as a mechanic and if something is removed from a sales car etc. they can keep it or it gets chucked in the bin. :)

So lately he got and Audi RS6 grille for free and sold it for £100 on ebay.

I also got my Harmon/Kadron Ipod kit off him. He also gets tyres for free lol. They get changed most services and still have around 7-8mm of tread lol. Hes now running full winter tyres and has a spare set at home and he also got two Audi RS4 tyres which are the exact same size as my brothers M3 tyres. Cost him £0 lol and had 7mm of tread on them :D

someone i work with picked up a baywindow campervan for 30 notes from my local scrappy, but that was like 6 years ago.

Just one out in the sticks near me - I was determined i wasnt spending more than a fiver, i happened to have £7.93 in my wallet. Conversation went:

"How much for this?"

"Dunno, tenner?"

"I haven't got a tenner"

"How much you got?"
