I have a Golf GTi afm for sale in the engine and parts section. Good upgrade for NZ and GT engines...

Could possibly meet you on my way down to devon on NYE.

Saffe.

Sorry.. But I just googled it and is it what I need yeah? I thought it would look like the little box on top of the air filter... I need to make sure it's what I need =/

I'm not very in the know about all the engine bits and bobs mate :)

The bit in Red is the AFM.

It'll need setting up to your car, as will any other AFM. The golf item is a slightly bigger bore and will give an increase in performance.

Will need to trim a bit of the airbox away for it to fit... or get a golf gti induction filter.

Ah =/ Sounds like a lot of hassle and I'll be doing it myself. So I would rather get one that fits a Mk3 Polo =/ How much for yours though? If it's cheap enough I may be able to pay someone to make it fit for me.

you say its a cl, looks like a gt engine to me.

It's an NZ engine, MPI engine dude ^^

Not too much hassle to be honest. All engines are different and would need the AFM tweaking to the engine regardless.

Fits over the intake pipe (just gotta stretch it on) plug on the loom is the same, just gotta adapt the airbox.

If you could meet me on the M4 somewhere on the way to Bristol you can have it for £15.

^ i see, whats the difference between NZ and 3F then?

Different compression ratio, cam, inlet manifold, throttle body etc. 3f uses digifant and nz uses digijet and a vacuum advanced dizzy. nz was fitted into cl's and genesis' etc and was 55bhp, 3f is 75bhp.

Yep, your engine is the more tunable out of the non gt engines. :)

Ok :)

Yeah, so I need to mod my Airbox? How can I do that?

Need to make 2 new holes I think for the AFM to polt into and remove a bit of material with a saw/pliers so it can fit. About 30 mins work really.

Ok. Doesn't sound like too much work.

I think I may be able to trust myself with it ><

I don't think I will be able to drive my own car to pick it up though, so I will sort something out.

I live near Corsham which is the other side of Bath to Bristol. So Let me know where would be easiest for you.

Possibly a motorway services? How far away are you from Leigh Delemere westbound services?

Vacuum advance flying saucer on the dizzy and the ECU will say digijet: NZ

no vacuum advance and ecu will say digifant: 3F
