They took it off this one!

HAHA

Corrado VR6 gets my vote.

Corrado VR6 gets my vote.

maybe not the fastest thing for 2grand but that would be the one i look at out of the big selection.

g40 lol

Won't do 0-60 in under 7 or hit 155... without modification anyway :unibrow:

for £2k you could easily buy a g40 with money to spare for a couple of modifications. It was the first thing that came into my head too.

65mm pulley, chip and that's about it. OK it might not get quite to 155 but I had 140 out of mine not long after buying it a few years ago (on a private test track of course!) with no other modification than a 65mm pulley, it was even using the standard map. And when would you ever find yourself in a situation where you need to go more than 140 anyway? F.Y.I. this happened in a convoy en-route to a rolling road day where the car made 131bhp. I reckon, given enough road and either being insane or having balls of steel you'd get to the top speed of 153 (with standard rev limiter) with this spec anyway but it'd take a long time to get there. I backed off at an indicated 140 because I feared for the life of the charger being held at such high load for a long time, not to mention the fact that those speeds in a 800kgs bean-tin of a car is quite unnerving.

i dont want something they wont copy purely because people will laugh at me while I'm driving

corrado vr6 would also be a good bet, purely out of being pimp

this turbo charged jap cars look cool and i bet would be fast, but i am NOT mechanically sympathetic when i drive and i know fuck all about fixing them [plus i live in an apartment atm so nowhere to work on it other than outside in the carpark] thats why the honda with its n/a engine and reliability are attractive. things like those rovers i know are rapid as fuck [i've been totally smoked by one before lol] but come on, its a rover.

would a 2k s14 200sx be a shitter ?

some one from Kroozin North West bought a red 200sx T for £2k, insurace would be a killer tho

seems to be a minter

insurance aint too bad just gota pay a premium on top of a couple hundred to change the policy over

and holy beejessuss i want that scirocco lol they definitely wouldnt copy that

Preludes just aint fast, too heavy and weight is a vtec killer... no torque...you be better off with an EG6 Vti, stripped to death and a few choice mods with your 2k, I've had 2, they are quicker than you realise, mid 14's on the strip easy.

Pulsar would still be fastest, 0-60 in 5 flat easy and 140+....

Nice 306 GTI-6 for £1200, spend the rest on a 2nd hand exhaust and manifold, and a pair of cams. Get it mapped when you've got some spare cash again! 200 bhp per tonne, that's E36 M3 territory :)

x2

Ahh a mate of mine is selling a volvo T5 estate that has been chopped into a a pickup and painted lime green. Its been tuned up to 340bhp and is raaaaapid but is only front wheel drive. he wants £600 ONO!

I used to attend leicester tuesday races in a 130hp mg metro, blowin quite a few pulsars round the corners of kentuky-carpark, but nothing could touch this mazda 323 4x4.. Bet you'd find one

Ebay 4x4 323!!! £2100

Can't believe people are suggesting Corrado VR6s as a fast car... My Saab's no beast - 290bhp but weighs 1450kg, and 4-up I raped a Corrado VR6. The car cost me under £2k a few years ago - could pick a similar one up for a grand or less now!

Can't argue with a Volvo T5 or Saab turbo for cheapo boosted fun - if FWD and understeer is your thing. If Pulsars didn't look so chavvy I'd be tempted to give one a go too.

i was thinking, pulsar gti-r conversion into a sunny saloon or estate... has that been done?

Pulsars are a nightmare, reliability-wise.

Its engine out to change a starter motor, or a knock sensor, or the clutch or pretty much anything! They love chewing up gearboxs too.

They are animals when they are good though, my bro has had 5 of the fuckers, one of them was specced upto 420bhp, it was mental!

All I'm saying is, pay 2k for a pulsar, i dont care what anyone says....that engine is coming out soon......

true!

but if you manage to get it on the road for one day it will be the the best day day of your life!!!

A barge is always a good answer. Older Police V70's can be picked up for not a lot http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/VOLVO-V70-T5-ESTATE-...=item4a9d357a48

Add a chip (if, being police, it hasn't already got one that is) and there's 300+bhp

volvo gets my vote too , my old man picked up an 850 t5-r cheap , now running 396bhp , and so far its all cost under 1500 quid , and the looks on peoples faces overtaking them in 3rd coming on boost and it just lights the tyres up is priceless 8-)

but to be fair your mates will probably not stop copying you , i was the first lad in my town to have a modified 6n 16v , now theres over 40 of the bastad things , actually makes me wanna sell up !

Volvo barge or some bastardised jap thing.

205 mi16... mate of mine had one of these and it was ridiculous... then again the mi16 was out of a touring car but he only found that out when he sold it! also not worth buying a 5 turbo if you only want to spend 2k as it has a high possibility of going pop... civic jordan edition ftw! doug is this mate of yours with the green beemer simon by any chance??

1.9 205 gti, on a 1.6 gti g'box 8-)

just thought , you could buy my 35i estate off me , weighs nigh on 2 tonne , then chuck it off a cliff , surely that'd be pretty fast ?

oh yes 8-)

yesss it is simon

i got a quote to change my policy over to a 328i convertible yesterday, is only an extra £221. nothing mentioned is really going to beat the performance/reliability out of the box of the bmw for me which is irritating lol could get a nice coupe sport with an LSD for 2k 8-) play them at their own game lol

as much as i know how much power to weight is important, i really dont like driving ratty little small cars anymore. id rather have more power to compensate for the weight, in a car that is well balanced and can take the power and still corner well
