ok guys looking through ebay the other day and found a mk3 breaking and it had some rather sexy light covers on the headlights so i emailed the guy and he said he wanted £25 posted for them so i snapped his hand off heres what thye look like comments and ideas welcome good or bad

just a small update give the long dog a well awaited clean up the other day inside and also few little updates

Got a flower 4 the dash :)

Retrimmed the parcel shelf

Covered the seat belts covers and the seat belt surrounds in camo

Also my new number plate surrounds turned up today so wasting no time i got straight on it and got them fitted.

Fitted a sunstrip

Next up

13inch alloys deep dish (when i can finally find some for around £300

80mm phil j lowering kit

Lowering top caps

Fit my door mouldings and sill covers (when they arrive )

Smoked front indi's

Smoke rear lights

Buy my stickers for the corner of the rear window

Get a black carpet

Finish my custom door pods (made from mk3 golf door pods)

loons looking very nice! 8-)

the headlamp protectors are a bargain will make 101 people jelious including me at that price.

rear seats are fitting nice, how did you anchor them in? cut the saloon foam to suit ? or standard g40 ones placed in?

cheerz fella allways nice to get positive comments and ye i couldnt beleive i got the light covers at that price i couldnt pay for them fast enough

as for rear seats thye are just sat in at the min the bottom half goes in perfect but i need to make to brackets to bolts them straight to the back only problem you have is the coupe seats arnt tall enough so u see the bodywork at the top so when i trimmed my parcel shelf i used the over hang to cover tha paintwork and took behind the seats looks spot on now

Well big update finally got the polo lowered well apart from the drivers side back which i cant stop the shaft spinning so gonna but some new shocks front wheels are touching the archs so i eather need to roll the archs or leave them till i find some classics any way heres some pics let me no what you think

looks nice mate nott too hott on wheels but love the car.... I've got the mk3 coupe same colour

those rims look great, nice car! and the head light protectors are a serious find at that price! only thing thats wrong is why haven't you de-bump stripped the whole lot? looks very odd.

thanks for the comments guys not sure if i keeping the wheels if i can find some superlights or ats classics they will defo go and as for bump strips i need to put them back on but gonna wait till wether bit warmer

yeh ats classics look the part I've got a set on mine 13x7 and 13x8 on back

u wanna sell them lol have you got a pic of yours wouldnt mind seeing how much poke u get on 8's on rear and you had any bother off the cops with them having poke

ok i was so happy with how low and nice the car looked i treat it to some tlc and some new toys

4 point sparco harnesses

Few stickers for the rear window

New podercoated fan cover

And i stripped half of the engine bay down and cleaned it all up still not finished

Plans for under bonnet are:

Top and bottom strut brace

Paint the manifold black

Paint the gearbox

Paint the engine mounts

New filter

Fit my golf elbow when i get the threads i need

Maybe have a go at smoothing some bits

nice..... need clean mine up trying to think of a wacky paint job for my rocker cover lol.... loving the stickers! top polo!

i was gna do something mad with my rocker cover but 1 of my mates is going to take it to work and engrave it for me and ye i love the stickers specially the pedo bear lol thanks for the good comments tho bud

ye man had 2 months tax but no mot it failed it's mot on loads of stuff but when we went through the list of stuff it had failed on it was so funny they had ripped the guy off so much numberplate lights not working thye had unplugged them indicators not working no bulbs in them sills were rotton not 1 bit of surface rust on them shockers were badly worn there like new trust me the list goes on there was 1 thing on the failure sheet that was right it needs a brake pipe
