Just got some in northern ireland :)

Our town never seems to get it as we are too low and too near the coast.

Got about an inch and its still lying, so I'm hoping for some more tonight :)

Well I'm Near Henley, South oxon and snowing hardish here for about 20 mins now, but apparently is set in for the night!

I've just been to the freezer,which is in the shed at the top of my garden. This time yesterday it was so dark i couldn't see my hands in front of me,and needed the torch to negotiate the journey.

Two minutes ago,and i could've read a newspaper out there - The sky is so white its light outside,and that's weird.

Zero snow at 7pm its now two inches deep already. No work tomorrow for sure - rally day it is then! We-hey!

i love the snow but when it sends u head on into a curb when you are on full lock its not a nice outcome, i havnt looked at whats bent yet but going by the noise driveshaft/cv joint noise and the steering feels fudged and i think it hit the bumper aswell hopefully havnt smashed the foglight, didnt even look i was so angry

Bit late for you but others should remember to use simple philosophical common sense in this situation - straighten the steering and drive up the kerb.

i think he was going for the snow-plough manoeuvre.. put it on full lock so the sideways wheels pick up loads of snow which builds up enough to create a suitable shock absorber for the inevitable impact.

I'm in norfolk , locals are going with the carrot cruncher theme too as a lorry full of carrots went on its side today after it hit ice and went into a verge on its side , first time I've ever drove on a road made of carrots

Were supposed to get a hell of alot more snow over the weekend but i cant see it really , the gritters haven't been out because theyve run out of grit , and the ploughers just make it worse by sweeping the snow out of the way and leaving sheet ice everywhere :(

mate i hear you on the snow ploughs, the one i saw just took the top layer of snow off and left the compressed snow (read ice) in its wake
