yeah found mine la7u pearl grey .get scabs touched up now .mines a 1992 and must have been registered late as la7u finished in 91.

Kometen Blue (the well known Anglo-German colour) is LB5V according to the .pdf

Pretty sure mine is Komet Blau, and is B5V

That's entirely the info i gave the paint shop. I had no other letters in the name or code, that's from an ancient set of colour cards my uncle had in his workshop. Dunno if the paint shop just used that information to find any missing info or if it was complete and correct.

Thanks guys, how do i go about getting the correct paint? Just go to any paint place and give them the code? Or do i need to go to somehwere specific?

Any paint place should be able to tbh. After an aerosol for your mirror or some paint making in a tin to mix and use with a gun?

Aerosol mate, gonna do my mirrors and front badge, may do a couple touch ups aswell as i have a couple small dings to sort out

found my 1991 capri green metallic polo (LA6U) was only made for one year in that colour :) ooooo special lol

but no joy finding my 1986 maroon coloured one? LA3B odd i've seen many old polos and VW's sporting this off shade of poo before lol

found it on a google search apparently its Gambia red is LA3B :)
