This is a very simple mod that doesnt not cost alot, nor take that much time to complete, yet give a nice clean euro look :-)

..although the practicality of not having a rear wiper is personel preference

cost = price of grommet, £1.80 from Halfords

You will need:

- 25mm Grommet

- screwdrivers

- spanners

- duct tape (maybe)

Okai so first off just pull off the wiper cap:

Now unthread the first nut, using a spanner.

The wiper now needs to come off, and does not come off easily, so gett behind it and prise it off with a flat head screwdriver.

after that it should lokk a little like this:

Now comes the inside work...

First we need to take off the tailgate inside trim, so open the boot and start by unscrewing the two screws hidden in the boot trim handles.

Then with a flat head screw dirver prise of the boot trim, satrting on the edge.

Once you've got enought prised to fit your hand behind, gently but firmly pull off the trim.

Her is a picture of the inside of the trim, which can use to locate the clips holding it on:

Now moving onto the tailgate mechanics - locate the wiper motor.

Unthread the three washer bolts which hold on the motor.

Remove the motor and disconnect the electric loom and the fluid pipe. the electrics are easy to disconnect and the fluid pipe should come off with a tug :-)

Make sure now to kink the fluid pipe, as this will cause leakage - use cable ties to tie it:

Now has come the time to re-apply the trim to the tailgate, but before we do this make sure you stick down any loose bits taht are likely to cause rattling when driving. duct tape works well

Pop the trim back on. which is simple enough and screw in the two screws taken from the handles. close the tailgate and pop in the grommet (with silicone if you want?), and there you have it dewipered :-D

only prob thts annoyin me is the circle around the grommit, I've tried autoglym fast glass but it wont get it off, do you know of anythin tht gets it off?

i just bought a rubber gromet big enough to fit over the marked glass, pushed it in with a wee bit of silicon.

urm... havnt even looked at gettin rid of the 'ring', will have a go at the weekend and see what works best.. my mate mentioned something like brake cleaner or anyfin more abrasive than standars cleaner...altho if you try that do Not get it on you are paint :-)

Use a bit of detarer, that should take it off or be careful and use a bit of white spirit to remove it!
