Lada cream, awesome choice man, watch out as each can seems to have a noticeable difference in colour, noticed when i was painting my Golf's wheels, such a cool colour though! Great work, follow this at work every day lol.

today i started wotk on deleting the repeaters and continueing with the body work

i popped the rear lights and bumper off

also took the repeaters out

and sanded the surrounding area back

next i made up a plate to fill the hole

then i welded it in (no pics) and filled them over

next was the passenger handle

i also soldered the wires to the boot solonoid

ground off the flakey paint on the other arch

tweeked my side exit a little and filled the arch

i started to flat the primer i put on last night

while i was doing that the postie came and bought me my solonoid kit i bought for the door, after thinking about it for a while i decided to hook it up on the drivers door - if it popped it well and was strong enough then i'd take out the drivers handle too

the plan was to put the button on the mirror base plate but the crappy cheapy button broke after i'd run all the wires up to the mirror - so i left them hanging outside the car so i can get in tomorrow.

all the scabby areas have now been taken back, i also welded some plates on the passenger sill and made a notch for the side exit, most of the filler work is done but i'll have to make another plate up for the drivers side handle and fill that too.

i got on with some rubbing down tonight, smoothed out as much as i could, did the repaters and most of the 1/4 panels, i also needed to fill a few more dings and low parts, while that was drying (i'll leave it to harden overnight) i flatted the rear quarter and keyed the lower part of the right hand side and put the first coat of primer down

also primed the passenger side repeater area

and most of the passenger side 1/4

i also spend some more cash today but the budget isn't looking too bad as far as the 1k mark goes -

the £15 on the door popper

£4 for a glove box catch

£40 for a smooth rear bumper!

hope to keep saturday free to weld out the drivers side handle and get most of the car in primer ready for paint.

got a bit more done today, stripped the front indicators out and pulled the front bumper off. then i sanded down all the filler that i layed down yesterday, also in the daylight i noticed there was a couple of rough patches and wobbly bits so spent most of the day filling and correcting any bad bits also other dings from the previous owners.

well i got most of it in primer and flatted down with some 1200, just need to do the passenger sill and weld out the drivers handle then on to the bonnet.

i wiped it down and got some quick pics (still a bit wet) before i packed away. shouldn't be too long now before i can paint it.

drivers side mostly flatted

bootlid, not yet flatted - going to give it another coat of primer

passenger wing and half the door flattened

rear quarter still needs to be flattened

couple of shots off the drivers wing with the repeater deleted
