Its madness. I didn't think they would look to big tbh. Seeing as the gt steelies had standard 165/65's and they looked ok.

Shame as all the tyres on the bbs are like brand fire new..

Knowing me i'll sell them or swap them aha!

Do a deal with the tyre fitter.

They will have them off you as part worns n nock a bit off the fitting/new tryres.

The ones on my teardrops that i had taken off. They took all 4 tyres off and just had 2 of the decent ones as payment for removing them. So it cost me nothing and i guess i didn't loose out on anything either as to me they where worth a fiver each at most haha.

Thats my plan with the BBS too i think, then get them re-furbed.

Looks good, defo need smaller tyres though

yeah tell me about it mate, there 13's - 5.5J - Tyres are 175 65's belive it or not.. Just made love to a nice pothole about 20 minutes ago and its rolled my front arch backwards..

mate u think thats bad  I've got same wheels they have 185/80/13 on them !!!!!! they rub on rear spring and mines lowered 90 mm at bk :( so new tyres are needed

Lol, mine only rub a little sometimes. Theres naff all travel on my suspensio. They sit an inch fron the inside of the arch.

Also I went to my local part worn tyre place today. Normally he is pretty fair but offered £5 each for the tyres... Which is abismal as they are basically brand new..

I may even swap these for some other 13's tbh, They were only to get the car through the MOT mainly.

I say 165/65/13's should be decent on RA's. Standard tyre size for GT coupe too.

Looks smart, not sure on the cam cover though.

cam cover red or black and u got it looks really nice ;) and i want 155/60/13s on my ra's to see what tey look like but am gonna try on some 135/70/13's

Yellow cam cover looks ace imo! Would be nice with everything else (ie. exhaust manifold etc) in black to contrast it. Cool stuff!

what size tyres are on them ra's

tire size is mental! my 155´s are rather small on a 13 inch rim in my opinion. the next tires will be 165´s, compromise between optic and convenience :D

this cam cover looks strange though are you serious? ;)

They are 175/65'. I dont think they look massive imo, there only 10mm wider than standard gt tyres. And yeah i know, its gona go black again i think. Just something else to try, as its been many different colours.

It's going soon anyway, MOT Next week and up for sale. I want a bigger car.

Few new bits now. Purchased a 4 Branch and a whole new system strieght through to thee back box as the old one had made love to alot of speed bumps ect. Sounds well, i love it! Mad a noticable difference mid range and top end, it gets to the limiter alot quicker. Put a bigger afm and set it up and it's made a noticable change in the torque. All i need now is a cam and some headwork to be done soon i hope. Also Went for the mot today and flew through!

Sprayed the bbs black which i think it looks 100% better IMO.

Gonna treat her to a service again very soon too as well as putting the 7.3k chip back in as i think it'll pull to that now.

Yeah i dont know what to do about them. I like the smoked look. Want it to look mean. All I've done is wafted black spray paint inside clear indicators.

I've also put the 7.3k chip in. Its ok, but it sounds like a saxo after 6.8k... Imo i dont think its worth th extra 500rpm. Although 1st and 2nd its ok for that little extra. Undecided

Sold this about 17 months ago now. Shame as i really liked it, but moved on to a MK2 Gti and spent a fortune on it and wish I never parted with that either lol Back in the game now, just bought a black MK3 GT lol Thats 3 now!

Front splitter was off an E30 Beemer belive it or not :)

did you have to do a bit of snipping by any chance?

Yes in the middle.

  • 2 weeks later...
