Hoping you can help?

I've done a search but struggled to get an answer..

I have a 2002 1.4 16v 9n Polo that in the past week has developed a squeak from the rear suspension. It seems to be intermitant but on these bumpy roads its driving me mad.

I am guessing its a bush but was wondering a) wheres best to start and b) how to test

Any help or guides would be greatfully appreciated.
