My mum had a lightly tuned one about 8 years ago, when i just passed, i had a quick blast of it up the little road near mine and nearly smashed it into a curb never experienced torque steer like it before hahaha, nothing compares to it still, that i can think of. My 20vT polo was quick-ish, but it was smooth delivery, that Astra was like being fired out of a cannon when the right pedal went down :-D

Love the digi dash's too

it is a 16v, needs a rebuild though, just waiting for the lad to let us know what he wants for it, i hope he don't break our dreams and say he wants too much for it (needs and engine rebuild but has had a lot spent on it in it's time).

To be honest, if you want to see the up and coming material at VW shows around the country, ED38 is the place to look imo, there's loads going on. I use both this forum and ED38 but always seem to get more of a laugh out of Edition, I think that people see and hear that it's a big clique and then go on not understanding the sense of humour there then fob it off.

Either way, on topic:

The new look, there is no new look. There never was a new look as it had all been done before or was there in the first place. However, I do think more expensive and out of the ordinary wheels are going to show up e.g. Aston martin, Rolls etc proper OEM plus styleee but with that VIP incorporated edge.

I dont care what the fuck the scene does as long as it stays well away from how I like my cars.

I never tend to apply the same rules to different cars, I always feel that different cars need their own individual look. EURO look only does so well because it works on pretty much all cars, so todays lazy kids can mod away without having to put any thought in.

Thinking of the mini scene now, when i got the polo and came into the VW 'scene' i thought it was amazing because of how different it was compared to the same old same old in the mini scene. Now i realise that the VW scene is worse than the mini scene.

I reckon all 'scenes' are the same though tbh.

The ford guys have it right, fuck looks just make it go quicker.

The thing with the Ford boys is that the ones who care about looks are really really seriously anal. Like the underside of the car has to be perfect, even if somethings not totally fucked it has to be stripped down, cleaned and put back together. So they can be super anal when they want to be. But then again part of there scene is to just fuck everything and make it go faster.

Venoms do seem to be getting more expensive though if you want them in 4x100. You can get them for free practically in 4x108 but the scene tax seems to be working its way into the 4x100 ones. TSW Imolas is where its at. Mmmm, Imolas. Hard to find though. I want some.
