Steadily, machining the manifold is taking a lot longer than i first thought :( May be a bit delayed on getting it in! I'm still hoping for ultimate dubs but it's looking a bit unlikely now...

Anyway looking forward to seeing how this turns out

theres a whole mk4 16v up for sale for about 500, you could make some money back off the parts too

whats it like to go from the easy driving of a mk4 to the mk1??? personally I'm thinking about getting a mk1 golf. have been offered a couple of nice examples and its people like you that are making me fall for the older cars lol

Thanks for you reply and input Sean. I went from the mk4 I owned to a Mk1 and I will never go back, since my mk4 I've owned a mk3 and several mk2s but the mk1 is just something else imho :)

I also Love both my mk1s whish is evident and I'm looking forward to been able to go ahead with what I have planned.

Thats a great shout for me tbh but at this very moment in time I have neither spac or money to be breaking a car, give it about a month or so and I will be looking to do so :)

If you get the chance I would definately go for an older car and the mk1 golf is no doubt the best. I'm glad I can be of some sort of inspiration, Thanks

Yeh I know Rob, I feel so releaved and now Vince doesnt have to worry about me trying to modify him, he can stay all immaculate and concours :)
