Ken, find it impossible to keep my car clean, especially living out the way a bit. Just doesn't happen for me ): plus the dirt hides some of the scratches.

yeah man totally understand where you are coming from! round trip to my work is about 28 miles so i'd have to wash it every day of i wasnt 12 hour shifts... but i just do it on my days off as i work a funky shift pattern so the longest it will go without a wash is 3 days max lol

That beading is cool. Yeah my work pattern is mental too. It's 2pm and I'm just starting my shift now.

louislewin, i use sparky tape and messured the width of it then cut squares out of it, sprayed the mirror then pealed the rest of the squares off and boom awsomeness lol

tomorrow I'm doing the passenger side wheel bearing + CV boot! she is getting MOT'd on saturday to by Mr Grumface :rthumb:

bought a snap-off boss kit also so that will be getting payed for tomorrow and fitted when ever recived!

monday 30th aug, she goes into the body shop to get a final flattening then its all good! after that preperation for edition begins!

wednesday 1st sept , half day at work so spending the rest of the day cleaning the inside every little detail!

thursday 2nd sept, depending on how much i get payed tomorrow the car may be going in to get detailed if not then i will be spending the whole day doing it myself as I'm off for 2 weeks from wed 1st woohoo

friday 3rd sept, ROLL ON EDITION38!!!

not updated this for a good while it seems! not to much been going on with her... off the road since the end of november until further notice as she goes into a lock up for a major re-haul at the end of this month for how ever long it takes (hopefully be finished for edition!) fingers crossed eh!

bought some BBS RS's for her they need refurbed but thats the reason i got them so i can make them my own again like the keskins... also got them at a bargin price!

shes not been cleaned for a few months (3-4) and been off the road for 3 months so i thought i'd treat her to a good wash,polish and wax! so 6-7 hours of hard graft later here she is...

so once i get her into the lock up my plans are:

*take the engine out along with wiring etc (pretty much an empty bay) get some bits in the bay smoothed and resprayed!

*remove everything from the underside of the car subframe, rear axle, brake lines etc etc and underseal the whole thing! (arches aswell)

* replace all brake lines

*powder coat everything removed from the underside subframe, axle mounts, wishbones, exhaust brakets etc already got another rear axle done and polybushed :ph34r: looks mint! think i already have a pic of it on this thread!

*little bits and bobs inside the car

*get stone chips touched up along with rear shortend number plate recess and a std bonnet!

*replace all bearings

*lupo gti rear disc conversion

ah theres just so much i will be doing to be honest... heres the thing that really makes me grin tho...

will keep this updated...

Well heres a wee update :)

got the rear leathers finally in:

Along with switching the back of the seats from mk3 golf to mk4 polo i also carpeted the back plates of the seats :)

thoughts?

Also, got a standard bonnet for it to which is in the body shop getting painted right now along with the grill saround!

going to put the std grill back on also so bought a carbon wrapped badge for the grill!

going to attempt to fit the mk3 highline centre console soon as well then it will be all good!!!

ooh before i forget, put the porsche wheels off the rado onto the polo aswell, need to get two 8" wheels for the front also as it just dosent look quiet right!

mk3 highline console, cubby hole and hand brake cover, looks pretty good... pics make the hand brake look worn as fook but its not its still good nick!

right so,

i got the wheels on saturday and swaped the porka's for them as planned good times... how ever the wheels have balloon tyres on them! 195/50/15 so i had to raise the polo to get her back up the road :( not so good! but last night i orderd 185/45/15 tyres for the wheels so she will sit nicely, in the mean time heres some pics of her not so low:

the other week i also bought some wind deflecters for her:

none the less I'm happy with the car atm but will be much happyer when i get the differnt tyres on along with the std bonnet and grill saround back from the body shop :( getting annoyed waiting on them... nearly 3 weeks now!
