Woooo just wired up the fuel pump and plumbed it in. made my self an exhaust turned the key started straight away

I'm so happy right now. all i got left to do is roll the arches and wire the door poppers up then I'm onto painting it

cant belive it started straight away according to the tax on the car i got it out off its been off the since 2005! and it starts straight away loving it

rolling rear arches tomorrow :) the girlfriend is on recovering the door cards and putting some new door membrane shite on the doors

will do a bit of smoothing on rear arches aswell to get rid off the banana trims cus i cant find any will get some more pics tomorrow

done a few things today just got to sort the rear door popper out then i can start prepping everthing

anyway this is what i got done today

got the girlfriend recovering these

and then i got her to put some new door membrane material on

while she did this i decided to make a pigs ear of my rear arches :p

so out came the hammer some pilers and some filler

got to try to sort out this boot popper tomorrow then all thats left is prep work :) cant wait till its all finished

This has giving me some nice insperation sweet car mate keep us updated :)

right been busy this week managed to flat everything down and get it in primer

tomorrow I'm flatting some bits down again just some little imperfections need going over and if i got some time i will primer again :)

happy days got a few bits done but the main thing i have painted it today :) quite happy with it

also the other day i brought a shit load of auto gylm stuff from halfods it was a bag set thing and also brought some meguairs clay bar kit :)

absoluty loving it :) trying to get it ready for bugjam in july :)

cheers dude i work evening so i try to spend all day on it and all weekend :p and tbh it hasnt cost me alot of money to do it. i didnt have anyknowledge to do this just read up on the things i wanted to do and got my hands dirty cant wait to be back on the road wanna feel the power of the GT :)

i have never drove my polo and I'm insuring it on tuesday! cant wait! I've done little things to it over the past month so I've got a good feel for the parts on the car but would ideally like a GT lump in it at some point?

dont worry bout the questions :) yeh did most of the conversion myself just borrowed a engine crane and my dad for ten mins to lower it in really because i am running bike carbs i didnt have to use the gt injection system it was basically plug in and play

I'm very tempted. Il have a little rip around in the 1.3 spi. and when i can afford to have the car off the road for a few weeks il get cracking!

Ugh i started flatting the paint back about a week after i painted it i wernt a happy bunny got black speckles in it so i got another tin thinking the speckles are my fault i brought a new gun cleaned it new mixing pots a filter to poor the paint though started spray it thought it was alright gave it a light flatting back then bam! black speckles but alot smaller :( so really pissed of with the paint i have complained but they say they cant do owt about it... and because i really cba doing it properly again I've ordered some spray cans montana 94 :) i really need it on the road :)

shame about the paint man especially as you put loads of work in to this , do you know what carbs you are using and what jets ?

cheers for the nice comments guys I'm using r6 carbs jet size is 48 seems to run ok but not sure until i can have a test drive will try to get pictures up when its painted again i just want to get it finished now need to drive it again i love my mk2
