2007 i visit my mother, was a visit as I've lived a life since 2001,have a place of my own, children ect, been there 10 mins and the same kid knocked the door saying hes bought a new stereo and needs the keys to remove the old one i sold him?? THICK BAASTARD,FUCK OFF NOW!!!! .... which he did

I love this thread, it's spot on.

I've even had PM's with a link to someone else's for sale thread asking me if it'll fit their car, what they need to do to make it fit and if I think the sellers can be trusted or not. What the fuck is that all about?

Anyone who has to ask "what do I need to do to fit throttle bodies" is never going to buy them! :D

haha, i once had somebody ask me if anybody had ever died in a car i was selling on ebay..... i just replied saying that there was a body in the boot right now

Just because I'm selling stuff doesnt mean I want to be your best friend, doesnt mean I want to hold your hand, doesnt mean I'm offering any other service than I have a part and you want it.

genius and too true

Common case with most people tbh.

Buy and ask questions after.

Funny thing is, Phil was the complete opposite when I bought his Green G. If you have any problems give us a bell... 100 miles later I'm ringing him up asking what oil I should put in her :ninja::lol:

Oh dear!

ima nice person for this, but i can see how it irritates some people.

happens all the time mate, like I'm selling 1 of my polos which does not have a gearbox

And iv had people asking would it drive to so and so, and I'm like it clearly says it does not have a gearbox so it might be a bit hard to drive

or 1 of the best 1s iv had is would you take £50 cash for it now and i was like so its on ebay as we speak and a few people are biding on it and its at £125 but you offing me £50 hmm yer but i would come and get it

I love it when people say that  when it clearly says cash on collection, "i will give you 'X' amount for it today!!, CASH!!" like you were expecting something else in form of payment. No sorry sir, but I'm hoping the £500 I've advertised it for comes in payment of fresh haddock

its sad but you are soooooooo right.

haha my quote from that thread

people are retarded, always assume the lowest common denominator and you cant go far wrong

Saf calm down :-D you sold a steering wheel to me like 2 years ago, I've still got it!

good man =D

something iv noticed that really does my head in is buyers asking "whats the lowest you'd take for it mate?" even though the seller states he wants a certain amount for it.

  • 10 months later...
I have a part and you want it.

Sal you are pure filth... Saf makes an innocent comment and u have to go and make it dirtttayy!!!

People want the earth,I'm like "its a 300 pound motor" when they're picking at a car. "put a years tax on it?" they'll ask. "Its a 300 pound motor" i reply. They'll look around it.. "engine bay's a bit grubby" and i answer again "300 pound motor mate".

Then they'll be like,"why do you keep saying its a 300 pound motor?" and I'm like "cos you keep asking stupid questions. Now its a 600 pound motor to you,get lost".

Then they'll be like,"why do you keep saying its a 300 pound motor?" and I'm like "cos you keep asking stupid questions. Now its a 600 pound motor to you,get lost".

Would be funny if they went "deal!"

Great rant! this is hilarious and i agree with the point your putting across, for example, I'm pretty useless when it comes to mechanics, or cars in general, but i at least attempt some research before i even start asking questions about a part i want!! and I'm trying to learn lol

Its different when the person is trying to learn, and asking sensible questions!.. when i have asked questions on here people have been really helpful...

I cant believe someone would carry on talking to you and asking questions after the deal is done, ridiculous!!

Then they'll be like,"why do you keep saying its a 300 pound motor?" and I'm like "cos you keep asking stupid questions. Now its a 600 pound motor to you,get lost".

I did the exact same thing to someone on here when they were messing me about with offers

I was selling some stub axle spacers for £30 posted and someone messaged me saying "would u tak £20". I offered to meet half way at £25 as postage was at least £15 with the weight of the spacers. Got a reply simply saying "£23 postd?" This pissed me off so I messaged back saying "Now it's £30 again."

Seriously why fuss over £2?

thinking I'm going to tell them exactly what the need to run it on thier engines!

fuck off.

This made it.

i can see where they're coming from i guess, but i would try learn as much as possible before asking!
