All engine parts waiting for assembly:

Put the engine back into 1 piece, and placed it back in the bay (which progressed along with a lot of swearing, irritation, time and effort :D ):

Also the engine-loom is almost completely made longer and tucked.

Some more snap-shots during works in the garage:

Loving the fact that not one person has said a 500+ horse 6n is even slightly excessive.... and i wont either, plus that red looks the tits much better than stupid TVR style flip paint

Just give me the address of the garage and tell me what time they finish work at night :-D

@ Capamaru: hope you can get a week off to make the drive from Greece to Holland and back again with an extra car on a trailer

I think I will be ok if I can get away with just the engine :). I will immediately fit it in my polo and escape before you hunt me down and kill me!!!

Too bad for you that it won't fit in a "standard" mk4 engine bay  there's more "modified" to the chassis then meets the eye 8-)

And I don't think the owner will kill you to be honoust, I think he'd rather just rip you apart and feed you to his cats

Fuck mee.

I think i just ad a tissue issue.

B-E-A-utiful!!!

how are the turbo's setup?? like cylinder 1 and 3 have the small 1 and 2 and 4 have the big one??

It's two identical turbo's, exactly the same, so not 1 bigger and 1 smaller, but 2 equal size ones pushing out 2,3 Bar (over 33 PSI) of boost. Since it costed a sh!tload of money to designed, developed and running in a durable way, no detailed info will be given when it comes to the engine's set-up, sorry.

You're already fed up with that 20vT in the mk3 Golf David? :-D If you're really interested, contact HTT, owned by Carlo Hulsen, he has a similar Bi-Turbo 20v on throttle-bodies set-up, but pushing out 635 BHP in his mk2 Golf 8-)HulsenTurboTuning website

amazing build this! i f00king love everything about this car/thread

Loving this pic, just shows how much attention to detail has gone into this.

On this subject, it looks like you have some kind of additional engine mount. Is this something you can purchase for big block engine conversions for fitment into a 6n or do you have to fabricate one from scratch of your own ?

First of all again, it's NOT my mk4, but belogns to a good friend ;)

But which mount do you mean? The aluminum+polyurethan mount on the gearbox side? That's a VF Engineering one for a mk4 Golf, the Polo engine compartment had all it's "Polo-mounts" removed, and new "Golf-mounts" welded in, and smoothed, so the owner could use the VF Engineering mounts. so it all looks stock mk4 Polo, but actually it's one-of-a-kind, a mk4 Polo with welded in mk4 Golf engine mounts 8-) how 'bout them details?

The car did its first show last weekend at MIVW, was a long proces of getting up to the level to put it on the showgrounds there, but it's been all worth it!

As for pics, I took some today, and "stole" some taken at MIVW:

since engine's rebuild, it needs to be run in again, so the owners working hard doing so
