The engine is in! no more engine problems!

50k engine, but the same clutch and box (recently replaced) literally just the engine. We finished it at 2am today, I'm absolutely knackered!

Ill take some pics when it stops raining, and i have a couple of updates aswell.

They are from a mk3 golf VR 6 I think.. 3door but ungodly comfortable, pretty mint too :)

I had to change over the backs with my 5 door 16v backs, cut my hands quite a bit...

Alot of updates this weekend, spraying/retrimming/refurbing

Right, house sitting for a mate this weekend just gone and spent the whole weekend on the car, Re-trimming the headlining and various other parts... ill let the pictures do the talking! (just to warn you, theres alot of them)

So I started by stripping it all out:

Gave up with looking for a cupholder, so bought one from halfrauds instead:

Cant be dealing with the 'type s' shit, so that had to go...

One pillar done

Sprayed the seals

Essentials that got us through it all:

Chrome door catches (didnt have time to fit)

Got the mrs busy, we were shouting and swearing at eachother most of the time...

Sorted the boot out:

Now that was done, thought it needed a birthday, seats out for a hooooooover

To get rid of the glue/paint smell

Tested one of the 7's on the front:

Lowered it about 10mm more on the front (cant really notice too much)

Started polishing:

Sat and baked in the sun for 20 minutes (as did I)

So basically a hard working weekend, shes coming along now what do we think?

Easy to get out mate, just the re trimming included alot of swearing... Just a bit difficult to get right!

Ah Right well i done my rear floor So shouldnt find it too difficult :)

Copied my headlining! How come you didn't do the sunroof panel?

I used black leather dye on the door and sunroof seals, you just paint it on, takes a few days to properly touch dry, but looks factory and means you don't have to take all the seals out!

Cheers for the tip mate :) where did you get the dye from? And the seals just come straight off anyway...

And I got the material off Ryann on here in February I think, just didn't have the space or energy to do it sooner.
