Around here there are plenty of wrong fonts/spacings etc and they dont seem to care.

I got pulled for my pressed plates the other day and got off with it as the cop car plates were illegal (no bsu/makers marking and spacing read (CU 10 XXX)), pointed this out to the copper and he let me go, and I've noticed a few 10 plate police vehicles are the same.

I think even random initial ones are better than a big long normal plate.

My mate used to have B20 ME (with the 2 stretched out to look like an L) Funny shit!

I quite like private plates, but only if

a) you have your initials properly, or

b) you can afford something that looks good with no real effort, like ORG 45M, that's not gonna take bent digits and 5 yellow screw to be readable..

I think bodged ones look tacky as fook and it's also funny when you see one on totally the wrong car, like a Mk4 Golf in the GTi spring fest show n shine last year, on like 19's with smoothed standard bumpers.. The plate read "How Lo"... i so wanted to get a white board marker and write ''not very!'' underneath, you could've pitched a tent underneath!

But if i won some serious money i'd have to get some mad plates, like if i could afford a Veyron (a car i dont exactly love but if i could, i fucking would!) i'd have to get '1C' for it, its only £225k and 'C5' which is POA....

My family have run private plates for years.

Usually they refer to our surname.

I like private plates, but not the ones where the font is used in-correctly or where the letters are slightly reshaped to mis-represent them.

Does it annoy anyone else that the DVLA sell off all the good plates for profit, and generally make shit loads of money, there was a time when it was just like a public service, and paying your road tax kept them happy. Now everything they do costs you a fortune.

Not sure if this is right. But i'm sure services don't have to have these marks on their plates, since i think the Army don't have to use these either.

But IMO this is a good things, since unmarked police cars don't have these codes either, therefore you know if it is one or not :)

I saw a silver Rover today, 400 i think it was, was a saloon anyway. Plate read Latic, or Latics. Think he was an Oldham athletics football fan poor guy

2BE and NOT 2B on an Aston and Bentley in London few years ago.
