wheels nicked last night.

Featured Replies

If any one knicked my wheels i would be so pissed off, i feel for you fella.

I asked the guy that installed my alarm to put a tilt switch in too so if it gets jacked up the alarm would sound, then i would be out in a flash ready to bring the thunder.

Really really hope you get things sorted, its also worth keeping your eyes peeled at night as sometimes they drive past again slowly to see if you have sorted it out and then you can maybee get a reg number.

gutted..:(..

still atleast they put it on bricks...wen a mate had his schmidts stolen of his rado they just left if on the deck..

i've seen brand new cars dumped on fire extinguishers before, lol.

When they took the wheels from one of my relatives Beamer they left it on mini cones

Just a quick one about locking wheel nuts. Are they that easy to get around, as I always hear off people getting their wheels stolen.

I guess if your wheels are worth that much you should go for a tilt sensor with your alarm?

I have a proximity/tilt sensing alarm :)

I also have locking wheel nuts, even if it's just to slow them down. But even halfords stock the lock nut removal tools now!

wheel theives won't undo all the nuts at once, one night they'll do 2, then next night another 1, so on the final night, they only have to jack the car, undo 1 bolt and lift the wheels. Quick and easy.

by the third day your wheels would of fallen off.

the only way that would work would be if you didn't use your car. besides it would make it a lot riskier. where as you would only have one chance of getting caught doing all at once and you'd be garentee'd to have a good shot at getting them, but if you did it over 3 night's you have 3 chances of being seen and it only takes them to notice a wheel nut is loose and you would lose your chance of getting them as they would be much more vigilant, or maybe even take them off all together.

sounds like bullshit to me panda, either that or you know some dumb as fuck wheels thieves

what welcome pack

I'm gonna have a look into these tilt sensor things.

Its the only way I think that will prevent my wheels getting jacked...will put a few sets of locking wheels nuts on aswell, just to piss them off a bit.

the wheel theives I know take 2 nuts off one night, then do the others the next night. lol

or just steal the full car, then burn it out minus the wheels, lol.

You know some wheel thieves?

He lives in Sunderland, what do you expect?

Anyways, keep an eye on Adtrader. Is there anywhere local where wheels get scraped or anything, seems alot of Scrapmen are taking anything, they nicked our tumble-drier the other day, and a lad at works gates from his drive and his radiator in broad daylight!

I've got uncool wheels.

I'm not saying this bit of philosophy is the answer,as from a moral perspective you should be able to have what wheels you like without threat from vermin, but its stopped them getting nicked so far.

Baring in mind there the 16" versions in 4x100 which are pretty rare. So if you see any come up for sale in the near future...

how rare? They 16x6.5j? Anythin unique on them bar colour, ie engraved or anything?

Thats bad crack :( Awesome set of wheels! I'l keep my eyes peeled!

sounds like a lot of unnecessary hassle and risk to me, you don't get smash and grab thieves walking past the jeweler's taping the window with a toffee hammer every day for a week to loosen it up for the big job
