Yeh i recently bought the car from Steve, great guy!

parts of mine is matt black, it's getting painted black magic pearl soon enough tho :)

Nice, did u get your inlet and rocker chromed or polish it yourself?

if you done it yourself what did you use?

if its painted then use paint stripper on it and wash it all off when its worked its magic. then start with 600 sandpaper for a bit, then 800 and 1200. use autosol metal polish or peek if you have any.

then it should be shiney shiney :) where abouts in the north east are you from mate?

there's quite a few bits and bobs you could remove from the bay to reduce the 'clutter', also if you are going for a polished cam cover it's worth considering using one from a 20v non turbo passat as it's much flatter and smoother.

the two valves on top of your cam cover with the vac lines running to them, the pipework that goes to the top of the TB, the blue and black purge valve on the left under your boost hose and all associated hoses with that. i'm not sure what else you have on there but potentially the sai / egr system too if you got one.

na, it's mostly environmental junk anyway and it certainly tidies things up.

Defs gunna have to get around to removing them, your bay looks nice and simple without them!
