lmao dont worry bud

  • 1 month later...

liking the loon mate, makes me want to weld a boot on mine :-D

any advice on painting wheels so they look as good as yours? i know theoretically it's clean, sand down, prime, paint, laquer, polish.

but i just got a set of audi 80 alloys that are looking rough and really want them looking tip top for when i bolt them on.

just want to know what sandpaper you used, how many coats etc. Also were they painted outside in the open?

Thanks,

Mat.

the wheel were sanded with halfords own brand took them back to bare metal then using halfords primer i think i used 1 big can for two wheels then for color i used 1 can for each wheel then laquer 1 can per wheel that way i know the finish will last and yeah i sprayed them out side just make sure you wet the surrounding area first with a hose stops dust blowing on the paint and dont spray in the wind really screws things up lol

anyway update will get pics up soon

vw2 calipers arrived need new discs pads and hoses

fitted gt clocks

teardrops have tyres on the way lol been long enough

new exhaust on the way (oem till mot is done then down to philj)

new shocks and springs on the way 60/40

and i have a 1.4 16v waiting to go in

let us no if u sell the new oem exhaust when u get the stainless need a backbox for mine

judging by the tyre tracks i believe it may be a gate...

looks good!

that was a garden belive it or not because its not taxed or tested thats where she lives until mot time and it aint no gate i took the panel away moved the car on replaced the panel as craig will tell you when we all next meet up lol

i could put the teardrops on but i dont think they look right and dont know if they will even fit now may just have to buy some wellers or mattigs

dont do it teardrops will fit get them on will look sweet as and every 1 goes for mattigs there boring your teardrops are different

its grim having cars parked up like that, mines not moved in like 6 weeks :/.
