I agree about police needing to be professional when dealing with criminals, but being professional never involved being nice. If someone does something wrong, it should be an unpleasant experience, so it minimizes the chances of them doing it again.

I got knocked off my motorbike last year by some dosy old faggot who 'didn't see me' and that was only at 30mph.

again fair point, however my dad didnt run anybody over did he, or break the speed limit whilst acting like a chav thinking hes hard, he accelerated up a well lit, straight, empty road which is wider than most duel carriageways, the only thing he could have hit was wildlife and if there were people wandering about on this particular road they probable deserve to be ran over, if i drove up the same road with loads of traffic, pedestrians wandering around and swerving round traffic then i think the copper would be within her right to throw some opinions around, however my dad likes the performance of his car, was breaking the law by doing so but took the 'already minimal' risks into account and did it anyway, therefore..... punishment = deserved. rant by opinionated copper = undeserved.

Surely this 'rant' will prevent him speeding so much in the future? It doesn't matter that he didn't hit anyone, there is always the chance it could happen, and imagine if it did? Things would be a lot worse.

you say that was a fair comment, now lets look at it from a slightly different way. how servier do you think the crime of speeding would seem to be to some one who on probably a weekly basis has to go to the scene of accidents caused by speeding or dangerous driving, and see the mangled bodies of people, and then have to go and inform their loved one's of what has happened to their son, daughter, mum, dad, brother?

your dad may of done this in the middle of nowhere late at night, but old bill have to see some horrid shit and have to do some nasty job's, it's the sort of stuff that you can't just switch it off. if they carry that shit around on their shoulders it is going to effect how they treat people that are doing the same kind of stuff, even if it is in a 'safe' way.
