Don't know why everyone assumes the HC is law. its worthless these days as no-one seems to even know basic road rules.

it depends on where my hands are atm. if i got left hand on wheel then ill wave, but right hand, then il flash

Or on the roundabout i have to use for work a big ass old SAAB FTW!!!

Flashing is illegal and kills people. Its that simple. Sorry to be a killjoy..

It's not illegal, if you read your Highway Code, you'll find that a flash of the headlights has once meaning and one only in law and that is to inform someone of your presence.

I thought that was for your audible warning device.

There are times when the horns not the best thing to use, eg at motorway speeds, in high winds, to warn a biker who's got a helmet on...

It's not the law, but the Road Traffic Act states the Highway Code should be observed...

what the actual fuck has this thread decended into

i wangle my penis out the window frantically

lol gotto laugh at people on here, the fact is that there are various things in our daily lives that we shouldnt do. Whether that be flashing other dubbers, masturbating in public or finding the occasional beastiality video worryingly arousing

Why do people find it their need to criticise others on their habits????

But as far as the topic title goes....I'm generally too slow to notice lol but dubbers do often pass me on the motorway pull up along side and give me a nod and i reciprocate

Exiting onto a dual carriageway and accelerating harder than the car in the left lane is not racing.

sugar coat it how you like mate, it's racing....

I like to throw bits of the trim already fallen of my 205 at other cars

This thread has been hillarious to read!!

I get waved at quite often when I'm out. But most of the people who wave at me are men and they seem kind of embarrassed they waved at a woman!!

I know I'm being waved at for my car....not cuz I'm female. Makes my simple Golf seem a bit more special!!! :D

Was a couple of months ago now,i was accelerating in the left lane and a traffic cop was accelerating in the right lane, overtaking me.

According to your mentality we were racing. Brilliant.

I think he was just going somewhere, and doing so faster than me. Maybe I'm sugar-coating it?

On many other occasions, like on thursday when i was driving to the tip with a boot full of smashed tiles, exactly the same thing happened. Only difference is,the other car wasn't old bill. According to you,we were both accelerating,so we were racing.

And had the cars been switched,we'd still have been racing.

I didn't think i raced anyone, but it seems i race everyone - just because i tend to pull up to speed swiftly amongst others also doing so. I blame them for racing me. Seems I'm in a full-on grand prix every morning i drive down the M1..

There must be something in your point I'm missing, because as it is,its ridiculous.

This thread was really depressing me  untill i read these next 2 comments

my point was you used to post on here that you had beaten some pretty quick car's in your polo (much to the amusement of most of the CP users), if i had know that all you had actually done was drive past a car that wasn't trying i wouldn't of mentioned it. mind you i'm surprised that at the time that you used to post these claims you failed to mention that the other driver's weren't even trying, (baring in mind that if they had been trying, and you had been accelerating hard to compete you would of been racing, which of cause you now admit you weren't).

my point was how can you lecture others on road safety when you admit to racing other road users, but it's now apparent that you weren't racing at all, you were just driving down the road

I don't think it's a good idea to be boasting about your illegal activities on a public forum...
