Polo 9N Drivers door electric window (2 dr)

Hi all,

My Mrs's Drivers elec window on her 2004 sdi won't go up or down and just makes a shitty noise. I guess the regulator/cable has gone tilt. If i press it down a little and pull the window down it will go down and it will come back up on its own.

I struggled to get the door card off and its started raining now:-( Are there fixing screws behind the pull handle in the middle of the door card??? Any method to get it off??

Also is there anything obvious/common on the 9N to look out for?? if i can get in to have a look :-)
