My car recently failed the MOT on the back box and one number plate bulb. I replaced them and took it back in. My ABS light on the dash is quite intermittent (it was on when i bought it, turned off for a while and is now back on), and happened to be on when i took it back for the re-test. The MOT bloke told me that would fail it, so he plugged the diagnostics thing in and it came up with a problem on the rear passenger side wheel. He told me this could be wheel bearings, the ABS sensor, or the wiring. I whipped the wheel off and everything seems ok (wiring is all intact and looks fine), so is it likely to just be the sensor?

He tried to turn the light off but it didn't work. Does anyone know how i can turn the light off? (tried searching) or anything i can do? It was off before but can't remember what made it turn off! Tried taking the fuse out haha but that didn't work, is it easy to take the clocks out and cover the light?

Tis most likely the sensor, they're prone to failure on 6n2s. (i've had two go in the last year)

With the correct diagnostics equipment the light can be turned off. If you're really desperate then take the bulb out from the light.

I always thought it was a set of L.E.D filaments all soldered up?

Best to get it checked out properly. The warning light has come up for a reason!

it is an led soldered to the pcb inside the speedo, didn't think it was an mot fail though. only way to turn it off is fix the issue - if fault reader / vagcom brings up a code with open circuit then it's the wiring - but as suggested it's usuallt the wheel sensor.

Was just about to get the permanent marker out but no, just as i was giving up and driving down to the rec, the light went off! Rinsed to the MOT station and managed to get it through haha light has stayed off since :-)
