I've just joined another forum and the final thing you have to do when registering is answer a question such as; "What is the 14th letter of the alphabet?". It's to prove you can read and count, maybe CP should employ the same thing?

Which forum do you speak of? Sounds like my kind of place.

Exactly the same, basic grammar and spelling mistakes piss me off

Alex

Are you serious?!! :-o:lol: you used to be the worst for "Writing With A Capital Letter At The Start Of Every Damn Fucking Word"

And lately I've noticed that you like to like add a lot of like, 'likes' into like sentences for no like apparent reason, LIKE!!

*edit* yes, I'm obsessed with you :D

haha don't start me on 'like'. What an awful habbit that is.

'I've got a new car like'.

Completely unnecessary like.

Excel Forum, I needed to find out how to do something on excel for my dissertation. Seems like a bollocks place to be honest. Got pretty shot down for "breaking the rules" on my first post. That's just what happens when people get too uptight about being "correct".

Ah, nevermind.

Back to the o.p. The thing that really fucks me off at the moment (it'll be something else soon, I'm a grouchy git) is

the word cheeky being used in reference to every little thing. For example the Volvic advert in which the bloke has a "cheeky little Volvic". What the hell is cheeky about it?

I didn't realise you could use knowing your way around an engine bay to converse on these forums. If you couldn't write, you couldn't post on here full stop. I personally don't know my way around an engine bay too well. Still manage to post on here, and have an enjoyable time doing so at that. Anyone who is completely incapable of writing is welcome to somehow post on here and prove me wrong.

now your just being silly, we are not talking about being unable to read or write, we are talking about poor spelling and grammar, and if people didn't know their way around an engine bay there would be no club polo, people knowing about these car's is what this site relies on, not people knowing the right 'your' to use.

getting a bit too person this thread now and will probably get a bit guns at the ready, some points made tho
