Final offset on these are ET5 lol. They sit very nice without spacers but brakes are in the way so had no choice but to go wider. Decisions, decisions :/

Camber them all round. Get them flush as you can and you'll be laughing. Saying that I got rid of mine because of the same problems your facing. Best of luck

I'd say try with some camber and then see if you want to continue. Tbh the front is alot, But camper can help :)

Like Jonny said, camber the fronts.

Think you can pull it off then ;)

So I'm guessing camber all around it is then. Have to try out and see. If it comes to worst I will sell the wheels and find something else. Only thing about front camber I'm worried about is tyre life..

And whats the best way to camber front? Never done fronts before so doesnt have a clue :(

Thanks

Loosen the two bottom bolts on the coilover leg and push the leg towards the chassis as much as you can and tighten back up

you can buy camber bolts for the front for about £20 i think, venom sell them, there skinnier top bolts for the strut so you can get more negative camber on the front.

thats the way i would do it, Then get it tracked to sort the toe out.

I really need opinions here before I ruin my arches. Sell the wheels and look for new set or try to pull this off... :/

Hard.. Those wheels are mad.. stretch looks mental..

Perhaps work around the car, not the wheels...

Nice little mention on performance vw this month bud! :) (think its you are reg). Looks mean with that poke but it is mad and probs would fail a Mot/ police stop you and class your car as dangerous. Glad to see you go it bang on :)

I'm sorry, but how aren't you paranoid about your tyre popping off the lip??

that amount of stretch is perfectly fine... could easily drift on those and be safe.

Ok guys works been keeping me very busy and barely had any free time to sort the camber out :(

Will do my best to camber wheels all around this weekend and pics will follow after.

Mention on pvw? Where at lol. I know there was silver 6n2 in Build not bought section but thats all. If there was something mentioned take a picture and post it up :p

And car is not used daily so not worried about police at the moment. But I'm 100% sure they would class it as dangerous. They would do people for anything...even being low on coilovers :(

Ahaa, thats cool, yeah man lucky to have it as a garage car!,

In PW at the back in the newest mag, July 2012 there is a built not brought section on you i think, Think its your reg. I've seen it as my mate gets them before they go on sale. But the whole mag is a good read so i might buy it next week.

The June 1 has that silver 6n2. (I have it on my lap atm)

I know what you mean about the police. There dogs about modified cars. They only stop us at work because they want to look around them ahaha.

So yesterday i did my 1st attempt with front camber. And i failed...sort of.

I think i got the right side spot on...

But left side ended up a fail. After trying to camber it, it just looked liked its turned more to the right while other wheel was sitting straight which obviously means that car is not drivable.

Dont know if you can see much of that picture but it's pretty bad haha

So is it a toe or what? Should I just go to get wheels aligned and it will sort the problem?

Oh and used 1 washer per bolt on rear wheels but it didnt give me enough camber so will give it another go.

Thanks for looking :)

Adjust the track rod.... It will sort out the toe so you can drive :)

Looks good.... (Next task; Getting Wayy Lower) ;)

Thanks mate.

Yea I need it lower another inch or so..at the minute I'm not worried about it as I have few other things in my head that needs to be done. Its still a long way to go...

Steady Eddy... ;)

I finally managed to fit those wheels...without messing about with arches. Camber all around and job done.

At the minute this is the only quick pic I took earlier after giving car a good clean.

Happy with the way it sits and more pics coming soon :)

Gonna take few more pics on the weekend..

Yeah I got tracking sorted. Bit of playing about with rope and track rod ends and job was done in 20 mins time. Car drives great now and sits the way I wanted at the front. haven't decided yet if I am leaving rear the way it is now. 1 washer per bolt is what it is now..and I know that with 2 washers tyre wont last long at all. Not worth it imho..

Driving with front camber is a nightmare... feels horrible!!
