Nice :) I'm doing the same conversion (original injection). If you need to know which wires to strip off from the fusebox gimme a shout, I've taken out about 200 wires so far lol

Use man lacquer.

nice

no updates yet, been a messy weekend lol. hoping to have it on the road for the polo show it won't be finished as such but still hoping to get it to the show

i hope so, then I can have a good look and pick your brain! keep up the good work Guy

you've gotta bring it. No excuses.

Bonnet is crazy haha!

How have you stuck it down? pva glue the laquer over the top?

  • Author

i sprayed laquer on it and put the pages on top to stick it down, i'm going to get a good layer of laquer over the top as well.

this car will defo not be at the polo show (or any where else for that matter), i've just been given a much better mk3 genesis coupe that every thing will be switched over to.

quick teaser

it's a lot tidier than it looks in that pic, it's also got brand new badgeless grill and clear indy's, speedline alloys in good con, black lexus lights (although one is cracked). stuck a new battery on it and it fired up and ran mint, gonna stick it in for an mot at the weekend and see what happen's.

it'll probably only have the hydro's and wheels on for the polo show and the 16v conversion should be done for edition (this will give me a chance to give it a full service without risking not having it on the road for the polo show).

Now i never thought of doing that, sticking it down with laquer!

Reppin the steel blue couples

If you ever decide to sell those wheels..... prime trackday wheels tbh.

i'll be keeping them as spares for now mate but if i need to free up some cash at some point i'll give you a shout first if your interested in them mate?

Yeah defo dude!

I wont be wanting anything for a few months yet anyways. But if i have the cash about and you do decide you want rid ill have them.

Need something light, simple and with a decent size to get some semi slicks on.

Whats size are they actually?

u were a god to me now i hate u  yyy ? either 1 of them with hydo's and the afh lump in would look the nuts tho , i think i have a soft spot for breadvans

Must admit, he's right :(

cool as fuck

bout time guy, top decision to get a coupe

  • Author

i've never been keen on breadvans i just used this one because it was there. I got the coupe to use for parts but after seeing it it's loads better condition than the square, its a nicer colour and far to good to break. If any of you saw the thread the other day where a lad was giving away a polo this is that car.

I'm gonna give it a clean and get some better photos of it tonight

kiz are you going the polo show?

he's got to. I want to compare engines

couple of photo's of the blue on (ignore the garden it's been slabbed now lol)

with the 13's on the sump hit's the floor before i run out of drop on the rams so i thought i'd see how it would sit with 15's on...

the only thing that's stopping it going lower is the drive shafts hitting the chassis leg, so i'm going to look into notching that once i've got edition out the way. i'm pretty confidant i'll be a ble to get the sump hitting the floor with the 15's with a bit of work 8-)

tbh that coupe looks very clean than in the other photo shows what a wash can do ! azev wheels look cool as fuck ! gd luck with the build mate ;)

if you can pull them off..well i'll kiss you

Use the azevs for the lov of god!

They look awesome! 8-)

is there a time limit on this? if not then pucker up sweet cheeks

i want these on early next year... in my mind i'm picturing them with some stretched tires, flared arches and spacers to get them sitting just nice 8-)

mate I'm going to try my hardest to be there! I've got the whole week off to get this thing running, and to be honest there is no excuses now! i only need my new air compressor to turn up and my suspension is done. my engine runs, my interior is what i would call "fookin sick" so fingers crossed mate.

oh and 15s wont allow you to lay the frame mate - it will just sit a little to high at the front.

i can but try lol, atm it's the chassis leg sitting on the drive shaft, then there's the ram will run out of drop shortly after. so i'm going to look into notching the chassis leg's and lifting the clamp that bolts the ram to the hub further up the ram. these are just idea's going around in my head mind so it may not even be doable

mate i bet you can't wait to have that first proper drive! which day are you thinking of going up? there are a couple of convoys going to the PS from corley services, one on the friday and one on sat

couple of pic's of the height difference, nothing much has happened, took the bump strips off the blue one and gave it a good clean

i'm gonna take the front coilovers off the scirocco through the week and look into modding them to fit it for now, there's still a few thing's that i need to sort on the hydro's, mostly the hoses need to be shortened to suit the car. i'm gonna get it all right on the red one so i can just swap it straight over to the blue one once it's all ready.

tbh mate, i still prefer the look of the slammed bready but thats my personal preference and DEFINATELY use the azevs ;)

You find a home for the black rims? Would look good on my G ;) You still want this smoothed bumper btw?
