i don't think i'll be selling the power techs mate, always regretted selling my last set, besides it'll be a while till i get the azev's on it, need to get every thing sorted on the blue one before i can start thinking about spending out on new tires for them

Hi can anyone help me iv fitted a afh lump but iv done my wiring the leggy way and nothing happens was wondering how u managed to start the car with everything out ei u need switch ignition how didnu by pass all that to turn it over also did u keep the m3 ecu aswell as the new one please help been stuck with plugging itnin fornweeks lol

Did you use the mk4 gearbox and the mk3 drive shafts? Iv got a mk2 an about to try the same, hoping to just use the whole afh engine and gearbox and the mk2 shafts ?

Nah I used the cars original gearbox and shafts.

Towards the end of the mk2f run vw changed one of the gearbox output shafts length making it longer by something like a couple of inches, they changed the length of the drive shaft to suit. The output shaft remained like that through the 6n. So to fit the 6n box you would either need to change the afh gearbox output shaft for one from a mk2/early mk2f, or use a late mk2f drive shaft to match the afh gearbox.

I'm almost certain it was the drivers side output shaft/drive shaft that differs in length
