retro portable radio head unit!

i came across this aaaaages ago at a vintage car show and its never been used, thought i might of found use for it as its pretty cool but never did.

its a medium long wave portable radio head unit but it has a chrome handle that pivots up and the unit pulls out and becomes a hand held radio, its prety retro looking and quite rare i would imagine

not sure of the make, has a symbol that says PYE

i dont know if it works as I've never fitted it or even attempted to use it

but I'm sure that even if it didnt it would be hard to get it working?

plus it would look good in the car anyway haha
