What's the point in starting a car club that is the same as almost every other car club these days.

To start a club or group, you need to be different from the rest, hence the reason you start the group in the first place. The differences are what makes people come to you and want to join.

Why will your club be different from say, clubpolo? We, on the most part like clean and low cars.

I'm guessing the dub scene isnt as plagued, yet, with bland pointless clubs in Sweden, as it is here Indy ;)

Was just going to make the same point as mr walsh. But also what if they do not have a club locally to them???? I mean i wish there was a club locally to me. There is a club that represent the whole of south wales but the nearest members to me are at least 70 miles away from where i live.

Not only that it brings local dubbers together on one forum but also provides information to dubbers in a lcoalised area which they would not find via other means??? I mean as I've said, the club local to south wales does not give information of meets local to my area. The nearest meet to me is a good 75 - 100 miles from me.

Oooh how about just simply - 'scrubbers'

Scrubbed clean cars and scrubbing lows

 or scrubbers as in steal shit from other people...... (thats what we refer to as scrubbers round my area) or the more commonly known meaning of it, someone who is too cheap to buy stuff at full, market, or fair value price.

Sounds like that should be the name of some rat club

Hahaha, it used to mean you were a tramp, or an equal low on the vulgar scale, if you were called it when i was growing up "ewww you scrubber" - aimed at someone spitting or something

Lol love a good acronym

Is there anything wrong with having a name for a group of mates that share the same interest in cars?

It's like football teams, some have more money and better players but they all do the same thing..

Who says you need to be different from everybody else? People on Edition?

If him and his mates all drive similar cars and share the same interest, is there any harm in affiliating themselves under a certain name to make it more official?

I wonder how many people have actually noticed the guy's location, and questioned whether there are actually as many VW or cleaned car clubs over there as there are hear?

Gotta agree, what makes F6squared, Grounded or Unphased different from any other Volkswagen/VAG club? They share the same basic ideology but they wanted to set up a club amongst friends and all power to them, not to mention personally I'm no expert on what the club scene is like where the OP is based. The only mistake he made was coming on here to ask for opinions because he was never gonna get a serious answer. People put forward new clubs and forums up on here every month hastily put together after an hours work and users become blasé to that.
