Just sold my car and can't find the V5 ANYWHERE!

Obviously the new owner shouldn't have to pay £25 for a new one so i will. Got the application form for a new

V5 and it says if i have the new keepers supplement (V5C/2) and send it there is no fee. Is that true?

I don't want to send it all off in the new owners name and a month down the line i actually DO have to pay £25.
