6n2 Drivers Seat

although the drivers seat in my 2000 polo will still move backwards and forward i cannot get the handle to lock back into place without serious 'jiggling' and a fair amount of pressure on the handle. it also rocks backwards and forwards a little more than it should once locked in place. The seat needs to be moved regularly to suit different drivers and i'm reluctant to take it apart to investigate until i know what i might find and what might have gone wrong. the same thing happened in a 1993 audi 80 i had but as i was the only driver i just ignored it.

has anyone else had the same experience and how did you fix it?
