In JDM you have a big square rear plate walshy

What the hell is JDM? i thought that was similar to euro look (decked on some dishy wheels with smoothed off bits) but just a different name so that the Jap lot have a cool name for their cars style

but, JDM is more using parts only available in Japan, so usually stuff like amber indicators, different spec bumpers etc.. like DC2 integras have 2 different faces, the Japanese one and the one for the rest of the word. obviously different engines etc

so to JDM a polo, you'd need Japanese manufacters wheels, Enkei, Work, Volk and so on, Japanese boot, just using japanese parts basically

basically, the equivalent of putting German plates on and saying its euro

well thats how i see it anyway.

my wheels are volk/rays engineering, so if i put amber indicators on it'll be JDM? i dont know wtf my car is, all i know is I like it and think it looks nice

You need a fatlace sticker too

I spent a few months running amber repeaters and genuine JDM rear lights. Also have wind deflectors but haven't gotten around to putting them on. Looked OK!

Needed a few more things such as Jap-spec bumpers to really make the look work.

Incidentally, my JDM rear 6N2 lights are for sale on this very forum!

Right so JDM is partly just a hip new name for OEM?

If not, then why do people call stubby mirrors etc OEM, when surely they should be pigeon holed under another funky name like EMM (europe market manufacture)
