Featured Replies

it's so beautiful, but that mk3 golf splitter lets the whole front end down IMO.

still, serious props deserved.

Well i made a start this morning! First i pulled all the original engine bay loom/fusebox and compared it to the g40 loom so that i could lable everything up for future reference. The eagle eyed

Great pics, car looks really good. Remember having my eye on this and then missed the end of the auction, but looks like you've done a good job. I have to agree about the splitter though, i say lose it and get the front end down another 15mm :p

Other than that its a pretty cool car, nice work dude.

Good pictures and I'm glad it was all working fine on the day! :)

Looking good! Can't wait to see the mag

Looks awesome man, glad the block worked out alright for you! Can you chuck that head in your car Mon and I'll pop over to woodrups and pick it up? Got a lad picking it up from me on Monday evening!

They are piper reprofiled jobbies, cost me £271 direct through piper. Ime not sure what profile I ended up getting tbh as I wanted stage 3 but apparently they couldn't quite make a stage 3 due to having a hydro head so it's like 2 3/4's

got them from a lad on here for £60 posted :)

What are they made from dude?

Also, do they separate to allow you to put them into the TCA?

I'm just wondering if i could knock some up myself...

I dunno, not mine lol

http://www.clubpolo.co.uk/forum/index.php?...5&start=125

Yeah, they come in 2 parts the TCA ones do.

aparently running poly's with G-ladereite blocks can cause them to fall to bits and pull out of the TCA

Which is why I'm getting these sexy mofos instead

http://www.g-laderseite.de/eshop/product_i...products_id=118

They wont fail like the powerflex, as they are made to run with the blocks.

good job i dont run ARB blocks then ey ;)

and for those who know about the AFH into a mk2/3 conversion and that you aparently need g-ladder ARB blocks to clear the exhaust mani if your not using a 421....all you need is a hammer to bray the heat shield with :p

Edited by dubownerbilco

421 makes it worse i was told?

Even with ARB blocks its still close/touching.

I've been told you can do it by spacing down the ARB blocks. I'm gunna try that as I'm gunna be using a subframe i wont need the clamping plates, so I'm gunna use them to space the blocks down and bobs your uncle. Hopefully.

Just the problem of it pushing the subframe down and the holes for the TCA not lining up
