Ronal turbos are those kind of wheels that either work..... or look absolutely awful. You will never be able to tell until you bolt them onto your car and step back. I say go for it.

Looks great, but I'd be tempted to leave the rot catchers, I mean, arch trims off cause it looks great as it is and they'll only end up damaging your nice paint.

The arch trims look cool on a mk2 loon though. I mean it looks great without too. The real issue with the arches on polos is the little lip inside that fills with mud and grime and so then holds water like a sponge. If the inner arch lips had been cleaned out from time to time from day one there would be a hell of a lot less rotten polo arches out there.

I took everything off mine (although 'cos it's an early one it didn't have much to start with) And I've gotta agree with the prankstar (2003) that it looks better without everything, and it wont invite mr. tinworm like the plastic bodykits will. To be honest I always thought your car didn't have them anyway because it's such a dark colour you can't really see them. I will admit there are certain colours it looks great with (silver, red, and white are my favourites for it) but brown? I'd sooner have more on show

EDIT - Having just looked at your pre-bodyshop pics. I can see your car was already well acquainted with mr tinworm! all because of the plastic bodykit...

I liked it without and with the trims so i love it either way i guess hehe ikle balls hanging off your towing eye!

well unfortunately there's nothing really to report at the moment! everything seems to be running problem free (dare i say it...)

and yes i know i am still to get some proper photos done after the respray but ime still not totally happy with it as i don't have my pinstripe back on yet :(

and ime also still yet to fit my matching rear coilovers but tbh i can be arsed yet :) also i want to get some lowering top caps as the front is still too high with the coilovers slammed and i dont want to remove the helpers as it now handles the way it should do!

am i right in saying that g40 front top mounts are slightly lower than standard?
