Looks incredible What do you think about fitting a mk1 golf top fill radiator to get rid of your expansion tank? Would tidy up the bay a treat!

i have one of those at home...

but i wasnt sure what to do with the hose that connects from the expansion tank to the thermostat housing, should i just block it off?

Yup - I've done that. you can get alloy blanking plugs on eBay.

Unfortunately saloons don't actually have a bottle in the boot......as they don't have a rear washer or wiper. However, one from an early spec Mk2 may fit.

I did originally think that yeah But thought I must be wrong when I read louisV6 reply. I'm guessing he probably meant relocate the washer bottle to the boot then

Well yesterday i thought i would take apart my front coilovers and remove some extra bits that wernt really needed and I've managed to get down another 10mm :)

I also fitted my matching rear coilovers which are definetly softer than the previous efforts :)

Proper pics to come soon. But in the mean time heres a cheeky shot of how it looks coming off my drive now :)

Nope - Saloons don't have rear washer bottles.

You can nab a bottle from a bready and sling it in the back though. This is how it's mounted in mine if it helps:

Well tomorow i shall be sending off my dizzy to be refurbished and have the advance curve altered to work properly with the carbs and cams, should give another smidge of extra power for a mere £40 :)

Did you just tell them what set-up your using then? and do they refurb the outer case n that?
