I was considering cas coatings in bradford £1 per inch plus vat so £15.60 a wheel and 1 week turnaround, can you beat that? :)

shiny bits!

philj's stiffer engine mounts fitted, who needs a 10 tonne press when you have a vice and brute force!

i only fitted the upper 2 today as i couldnt be bothered to get under the car to remove the gearbox mount :)

i have also been meaning to ask for a while what a couple of plugs were that i never needed...

the first one is in the same conduit as the fan wires

the second one is behind the bulkhead behind the pass side strut top

I also have that one behind the bulkhead with nothing plugged in. My guess is that it's for an optional extra, perhaps heated washer jets or fog lamps.

dude hows the fan attached to the rad? i wantt o put a 6n rad and fan in my mk2 but not sure how to attatch them together!

The fan is attached via some cable tie like things that go through the rad fins. I see you've attached yours with the springs, I've binned mine!

i did aswell actualy but you just push them between the fins :)

i thought it would be best to use the springs as i assumed the heat from the rad may melt the plastic if it were actually touching it

Jesus, I hope not! The rad shouldnt get any hotter than the water inside it, 130oC max!

That's where i go so no i can't beat it :-) Their work is great too. Turnaround on mine about 2 weeks ago was 2 days. Seriously good prices.

I drive on Kirkstall road a lot, and loved seeing the Loon smiling at me while I drove past, then one day it had vanished. It took me a while to work out that the Beamer was yours haha (haven't read this thread for ages).Cant wait to see the Loon back on that side road, gave me a little tingle in my boxers.......................

hell yeah, cant wait to get it built up with phils polybushes and the disc setup! :D

Bonrath goodies courtesy of philj!

Poly rear suspension upper mounts (not really essential but hey, when in rome ;)) and poly rear axel bushes which should stiffen things up nicely!

The icing on the cake...camber adjustable top mounts, yeh baby! :D

a2414273.jpg

They are in PhilJ's section on here. Not that pricey to be honest and look like a good bit of kit.

I just want to know what they are like to fit and how they adjust the camber before buying some. I'd prefer some non adjustable ones if they existed.
