well the engine is finally back in the car and all hooked up with ASH blue hoses (looks very nice indeed!) :p

i shall upload pictures asap!

just have a few problems with the carbs leaking fuel from somewhere...

but other than that there's not a huge amount left to do before i can take it for a spin and get it setup at bogg bros :D

craig!!!

  • Author

well shes on the road now!

need the carbs seriously setting up though as when the cams kick in at around 2500rpm its gets starved for fuel and judders

but by god does it pull well until then!!! :D :D

Pimp work craig .. would love to take a drive down to you one day and have a look around this!

tooo many blue hoses for my liking, is it running?

yeh its running, but with a badly blowing exhaust and carbs that are too lean, which is why its booked in at bogg bros next week and ime going for an exhaust quote tomorow :)

epic! big inspiration this is! where did you get the fly eyes? what is it and how is it fitted?

fly eyes!

simple as that :) lol

thanks for that, ime glad I've gone through with it as i did have my regrets when i saw it with no engine but its definitely being worth it, even not running correctly there is soo much torque (accelerating up a fairly steep hill in 5th!)

puts a smile on my face evertime i open the bonnet :p

i should imagine it does knowing you did it all and how much effort you put into it mines coming off the road after tatton i think so work can start on my loon I'm keeping my cards close though all will be revealed next show season

one way to think of your car now is loon certainly describes it well with the amount of power you have i should imagine once its been setup correctly your going to dyno it

  • Author

yeh i shall definetly be dyno'ing it, i think the session at bogg bros might include a dyno power run...we'll see next week i suppose

get the results up when you find out bud really wanna know what that motor puts out now as I'm sure you do

Sweeetness. Agreed black hoses in there would have looked better but meh....details. The engine is sweet. That car actually pulls off having no bumper and a big mk3 golf splitter wanged on :-)

high five!!

You going to be at VW festival at harewood?
