Yeah I'm just coming up with the same problem.

i have found an m12x1 to m10x1 male to male adapter on ebay but ime not sure if this is the best way to go, i have tryed all local motor stores and they have nothing useful at all.

M12 to M10? What are you connecting?

To do all of mine, I had to use a male-to-male M10 x 1 convex end in each caliper (so 4 in all) like this

The connection on the caliper is an m12x1 as it is originaly connected to the flexi via a banjo and bolt, its a mk4 golf alloy caliper

Yeah the connection on my caliper is an M12x1, I'm using a mk4 one. I'm thin I'm going to run a hard line from the caliper to the flexi brake hose.

so can you not get the mk4 golf flexi pipes and banjo bolts as they should have the m10 at the other end

on my rear disc conversion being mk2 golf calipers i just used mk2 golf front flexi hoses and they worked fine had the right fittings m10 at either end

I would like to keep the goodridge hoses i already have without having to purchase another kit or custom hoses, surely it cant be this hard to just connect a bloody copper pipe to a caliper?!?

I had a mare. Have you unscrewed the inlet from the caliper? I'm sure the end that's in the caliper is an m10 x 1 (like the item I posted above). So you should be able to get some of the above, and do what I did

The only inlet is most definetly an m12 as i have some m12 unions which screw in ok but are too short to tighten a copper pipe in properly, which is why i need either the adapter i mentioned previously or some sort of banjo hose adapter

I'm going to use an M12 union which fits a 3/16 pipe and then put an M10 union on the other end with will connect to the standard flex hose.

Thats exactly what i was going to do but the threads on the m12 union are too short and the head bottoms out on the caliper before tightening the copper pipe in at all, and thats just a standard m12 union

You have copper pipe going into your caliper? Mine connects to a flexi. I do have mk2 calipers though

problem solved! i did have to use a standard flexi but this is just temporary until i can get a suitable goodridge line to go all the way from the body
