had a little blast tonight and took it to 6k through 2nd and 3rd in a tunnel, was still pulling very well when i let off at 6k aswell

OH yes!!! sounds sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet!!!! whats it like speedwise compared to a normal afh on carbs?

ime not too sure really as i jumped straight in with the cams and head work the first time i got it in the car and running so i never really had a base 'speed' to compare against, but i does rev very easily, basically sounds like a motorbike!

and it pulls like a train from 1000rpm in 3rd, the power is just there instantly

You've nailed the look of this so well. From the side it looks so long and sleek. Maybe some lowering caps for the front, seems to have the dreaded polo anti-rake going on!

already removed the lock ring from the coilovers and wound it all the way down and have lowering caps on! and ime not even going to consider removing the helpers so this is as low as it goes for me :)

they are TA Technics i think, thats what the rears are and the lad i bought them from got them as a set, but the rears are no where near the bottom! infact if i wound them to bottom the back of the car would literally be on the floor!

think there just philj's?, getting them off a friend, he hasnt had them for that long and reckons he spent £700 on them? :s fark knows!

Aye, best not go any further. As you say, you may compromise drivability. Something I'm aiming to maintain myself

more than mine were then, apparently they were £500 new

and yeh i like to be able to hoon it without worrying all the time

i would say the fronts are too stiff and the backs are too soft, a medium inbetween would be perfect, may even look at custom wound springs if i get around too it, and no is there balls any adjustment haha
