well i thought i had a disaster and had caused some major engine damage....

turns out i just had blocked jets, PHEW!!

really does go like stink! even with the exhaust blowing like a mofo and the carbs not jetted correctly yet, i really really cant wait for bogg bros to have a play and set it up properly!

think i may need some new front tyres fairly soon though...

Well i made a start this morning! First i pulled all the original engine bay loom/fusebox and compared it to the g40 loom so that i could lable everything up for future reference. The eagle eyed

Did you go for the long chassis mount plate in the end then dude? or are you sticking with just the 3 mount bolts themselves?

Looking fowward to hearing how this runs when BBro's get it properly setup and dyno'd.

i did try making one but it was rather horrid, i could do with something cnc'ing or just made for me really lol

Yeah man definetly.. 2 bolts at present then? take it easy if so ;)

I'm going to mock up a few different mount plates.. see which i prefer/which looks the least offensive and have a batch made. Will probably put something up in the group buy section soon .. stay tuned

ah well find your self some r1 carbs now then you can play with the fast stuff

Whats wrong with the CBR600 carbs? :)

bog bros told him to get r1 carbs then he will be running near 140 bhp

140? is that a proven figure or just a guestimate.. ?

I've swayed with running R6's on my AFH due to a mass of opinions on them being better quality carbs than cbr's but if R1's are better to go for ^ as BB suggest, then its obviously the route I/others will want to go down!

They seem to swear by the the R1 carbs... might get a set and see if it makes me an extra 10bhp, But getting 40% more power from an engine by just changing the fueling seems alot. I was surprised with the 128 I got. But 2 different RR gave me 2 different figures one 128 at the fly and the other 130 at the wheels..

But after dealing with BB for close on 3 months trying to get my manifold I'm a bit sceptical :)

well aparently the 600's are restricting the engine and they use r1's on pretty much every engine they convert to bike carbs and they are the guys to listen to. its due to the outlet size on the carbs where the air/fuel mixture goes to the engine

a little taster video here for you filmed by a friend earlier on today :p

sounds great pal but nothing like mine. cant get how the carbs are restricting it tho, I've got fazer 600 carbs on mine and its fine, definately not restricted. think bogg bros just stick r1 carbs on everything tbh.

well everything i saw in they're garage had r1's on it haha

its power ime going for though and if bigger carbs = more power then thats a good enough excuse for me :)
