Aerowipers vs Standard

Featured Replies

My offside wiper lifts at anything over 80mph,and though some may rightly argue i shouldn't be doing that in the rain,id like a bit more 'margin'.

I probably should just reduce the length of the wiper,as its a 20in blade and a 16in one suits fine (and is the maximum size for the nearside and tailgate). I dont know if an aero wiper will look silly on the '85 or if i can get a stronger spring in the arm? Or a spoiler on it. Open to ideas for pre-94 Polos.

Might be worth putting a newer arm on? I did this on one of my Saxos, and it certainly clamped the blade down more. I've got aero wipers on my Mk2 Golf now, and don't think they look silly. In fact, because they are basically one piece of rubber/plastic, if anything they blend in better than the standard wipers.
