Brake grease vs 'high temp' grease ?

I didn't have any proper brake grease to use when fitting new rear shoes, so I used what I had - it says it's 'Lithium based' and has a 'high melting point', and I only used a smidgin on the ends of the pistons where they contact the shoes and on the bottom pivot point. I'm wondering if this is not a good idea and maybe I should pop the drum off, clean it up and use proper 'brake grease'.

What do you think ? - or should I just save myself the money and just clean up what's on there and not bother with anything ?
