unfortunately not! :(

my dad moved the matt, and started the car up (first thing in morning - engine cold etc) and no crunching,

after the engine warms up it starts crunching into reverse etc :(

gonna take it to a garage to have a look at

The revs sounds like a slipping clutch. Try adjusting the clutch cable if you can as you can squeeze miles out of them sometimes. :)

well it was the clutch had gone, driveshaft had split and water had been leaking which rusted something underneath!

now insured on the clio for a few weeks awaiting a new engine for my polo :(:(:(:(
