With regards to monitoring thats why i'm not going drop the 75 shot in until i have gone to a dyno so that i can monitor AFR..

This is only going to be used on track and at santa pod just for some fun got bored of being the slowest out of my lot :p i don't want to use it on the street because its not worth it..

If you're serious about a 75 shot, then direct port is necessary- this is from experience.

Also a wise investment would be an EGT and wideband A/F gauge, monitoring on the dyno is fine, but with differances in bottle temp/pressure it's good to know what it's like on the fly too.

But to be honest mate its going to be ran with a safe fuel jet and its was a cheap and cheerful project that i wanted to put together myself.. I appreciate the advice but like a said before i am saving it for the strip :p

I'd take Andy and Yoof's advice on board though, they know what they're talking about. I can see someone ending up with a melted piston if they're not careful!

You'll find the 16v manifolds don't give an even distribution of gas/fuel when injected pre t/b. This made for an inefficient set-up when used on Jez's engine.

Depending on your required bhp increase, you'll perhaps have to go DP- and you'll rinse 5lb of nitrous in no time at all!

What sort of flow tests did you do to discover that?

To be honest mate this polo was put together because i haven't heard of any other 6N2 having it, and it was designed around my ideas etc..

also, what's the blue LED next to the Heated rear window button?

The blue LED switches to red when the nitrous is arm'd :p

I completly agree..like i said before i am going to safety jet the fuel..

If i had the funds i would run the right sensors but since this is my first time fitting and running nitrous, i am going to put my degree to the test and see how deep the rabbit hole can go

Lol i just figured out this is a polo 6N2O

I realized yesterday why I'm glad i put the nitrous bottle away from arms reach!

I went down to winchester yesterday and had some punk in a battered saxo with his chavy mates swearing at me on the M3 etc.. Obviously i left him but would have been more fun with nos ;p i hate chavs and even more so kids lol..

I should be ready for dyno in a couple week, i have organized to go into torque of the devil..

With regards to your first question, although a bottle heater is appropriate, I decided that since I will only be using the nitrous on allocated days such as Santa pod or track days, it was not necessary. I will be monitoring bottle pressure and running the numbers and adjusting the jets as I go..

Basic set up wasn’t difficult this was my first nitrous install so with a bit of common sense and drawing out a schematic of the system before fitting and a parts lists, I didn’t run into any problems..

Will be updating in a few weeks so i will let you all know what happens..

do me a favour next time u leave a saxo make sure u do it sumwhere where its quite sandy, id love to see a saxo spin out again, I've already seen a dick boy racer try race my mate in his twingo and right off the saxo after locking front wheels, his gf was in the car with him when he crashed

So you can understand why they are frustrating lol..

its not just saxos, its 106's, old clios, corsa and all the boy racer type cars that do my nut in

if i get my gti which I'm plannin i wont waste money n fuel by tryin to burn off these chavvy cars not that i do that anyway cos they bore me to death

its funny when u get em up you are arse at 10 at nite, u think ah fuck it ill give em a run n they crash lol
