I have owned this car sine July 2006.

The one thing I would like to get across it that this is not a car that gets ragged or thrown about, this car is looked after with no expense spared and have mechanically maintained it so that it runs and performs at it best.

It’s an Alpine White 1993 L reg with 112K on the clock.

Comes with 12 months MOT and Tax till end of July.

I love it to bits and I’m only selling as I want to save towards a deposit for a house. I’ve attended many VW and modified car shows and I’m a real enthusiast and this is my baby, it really is a reluctant sale.

The car is used as a daily driver; it starts every time and never lets me down from day to day even through the winter.

Mechanical parts replaced for NEW:-

Front engine mount (didn’t need doing but just wanted new one)

Rear Engine mount (didn’t need doing but just wanted new one)

AUX Tensioner and belt

Both Front wishbones (didn’t need doing but just wanted new ones)

Rear bushes from VW (was done whilst axel was off with below job)

Rear Brake Bias valve (one on the axel that splits break lines to each wheel) This can be a nightmare to change, mine had to be cut off as the steel Allen bolts get seized.

Bearings all round

Oil Pressure switch

Front right ABS sensor

Brake positioning Sensor (the part on the servo)

Usual general service every 6 months including HT leads, Plugs etc.

I once had the car Rolling Road’d to see what the engine was like and performance wise, result was 196BHP and 177 lbft.

I have loads of receipts etc and MOT’s going back to 2001. All the MOT's and work I have had done have been by the same garage and mechanic who is a previous Corrado VR6 Owner and enthusiast.

Engine/Running gear:-

The engine is strong and pulls very well, it starts up every day, every time. I may top up the oil maybe once a year if it need it! It doesn't use any oil or water, the engine is great. The only signs of ware is that on over-run, say going down a hill in 4th for while then accelerating, the valve stem seals let tiny amount of oil through so little comes out of the exhaust. But its nothing to worry about. just signs of a 17 year old engine.

Miltek exhaust from downpipe back including De-cat pipe, has a nice throaty gurlgey sound to it, not raspy. (I still have the cat if you want it)

Lowered on Weitec coilovers with new top mounts as well, not sure of mm but it gives it a great stance and no problems with speed bumps/scrapping etc.

Interior:-

Grey Leather Heated seats and interior minus front door cards (their still standard vr6 ones), it's rear humped style. The Heated seats are correctly wired in to the fuse box following VW's wiring diagrams, when I had the dash out for heater matrix I routed the wires as factory (behind and along the top and down to the fuse box and wired into the fuse box in the correct locations) and the heated seat relays are behind rear passenger door card and using all original wiring looms, relays and switches, these work perfectly, great for the cold UK weather!

I replaced the heater matrix June 2009, I took the dash out for this and also replaced heater controls as last ones were stiff, these now work perfectly. (I also replaced the heater blower as on the old one, the thermo resister had blown)

Passat sunroof switch unit.

Passat sunroof black-out slider shutter.

Rear chrome strut brace.

ICE:-

Kenwood CD/MP3/Ipod Headunit.

Westcoast 4 Channel Amp cabled properly powering all four speakers.

Boston Speakers all round with tweeters on front doors, these are built into the mirror blanks (looks like it came form VW like that) and standard size Boston speakers for rear.

Exterior / Body work::-

Polished and lacquered standard VR6 alloys (some lacquer has come off).

3 Slat Grill with VR6 badge attached.

Passat Mono roof with interior black-out slider shutter taken from Passat in scrap yard by myself and installed by myself, has real factory look and tilts and slides!

Rear spoiler works, but sometimes it decides to either stay up or not come down, I have just brought new manual switch (awaiting delivery) to see if this helps.

Paintwork - This is the only downer on a great car. The body work could be better but good for a 17 year old car. Passenger door has had what looks like a car park ding fixed which you can see a differ in the paint shade.

This car is a real joy to drive and I really do not want to see it go, but I have to.

I kept this car going at no expense spared and made sure it’s had everything its needed.

The little things that I have done make this car worth what I’m asking for it, but I have made allowances for the work that would need doing on the bodywork.

I have been honest and mentioned all the good and not so good bits about my car and for quick sale, I'm asking for:-

£2700 ono

I'm in Sheffield

Please feel free to either call me on 07956165821 or email neil_davison@hotmail.co.uk

Thank you,

Neil
