simply awesome!

that tank will look nice once in place, brave move going for a bold colour it could have been hit or miss but think its a 100% win and it wont rust! yay.

I think that purple will contrast perfectly with the darker purple :) it'll look spot on... scary thing is, this is his "toy" not the one he's restoring!

Powder coating won't rust, but the metal underneath it will  Hence no chassis components should be powdercoated as once it gets stone chipped, rust sets in, but the external finish is still solid in apperance.

Chris- you going OEM on the RHD one, and having fun with this one? You got stereo systems for both? Coming on nicely :-)

just incase no one has noticed that light purple is the colour of the bumper pin stripe and in the genesis sticker

your as anal as me mate!

be warned however that the powdercoat may get wrecked by the exhaust!!!

i got round this issue by using some heat shield from a big audi i got from the breakers yard and carefully sculpting it to the shape of the tank.

its a neat way of protecting your paint around this area. the original tank paint is quite heat resistant- my powder coated bits at the front of my car by the exhaust (chassis brace, gear selector etc) have been wrecked and some of the bits have gone to the chromers now.
