Mid 13's i got in. Getting used to the car/my driving didn't help though. It was just held on an old local air field. Not great surface. I'll dig my time cards out once i find them. First few runs i tried to launch around 2-3 k and it close to stalled. Launch control on and set around 4k revs worked well but only got a couple of runs in like that though.

The old Polos take a bit of launching for sure! Best thing is to get used to whatever surface you're using and get the optimal tyres for the conditions. For road tyres I found I hooked-up nicely at Bruntingthorpe (concrete), but Santa Pod's surface needs drag slicks otherwise you've got less grip than on the road.

Sounds like it's got more in it anyway, my terminals are usually around a ton on a 13s pass, Robin's did 102mph on road tyres (lots of wheelspin off the line usually = crap ET, but good terminal). I'd imagine your trap speed must've been a fair bit higher with the power you're running, which bodes well for getting the times down. Think Karl's 260bhp+ Polo 2f 16v turbo did 112mph terminals on road tyres, and high-12 low-13 ETs.

Been parked up for winter for a while now and going in bodyshop for a tidy up soon.

Anyone know anywhere to buy a carbon bonnet for it? found a couple of places. all prices are a bit steep though.

Might be worth asking yoof? he has some carbon panels on his

I cant find anywhere, its something I've been looking at for a while

I asked yoof, he seems sworn to secrecy though  I'll get on the case on Saturday haha

looking proper now mate - a real stunner to look at and with the performance of a supercar. Really is a top motor - credit where it is due.
